Can enjoy its famous garden, cherry blossoms at Negoro mountains,autumn foliage and more.

Momiji-dani-park

Ohtani- gawa brook runs through the precincts of Negoro temple, it is called Momiji-dani, meanning maple valley.
In early summer, fireflies are flying about, by the effort of citizens.

Negoro Temple garden

The garden is connected to the building where the abbot lives, who is holding the superintendence of Shinghi-Shingon-shu and concurrently the abbot of Negoro Temple.
This garden is designated a national scenic site, beautiful with natural pond and waterfall.
Visiting is available by request.

Hanami(cherry blossom watching)

Cherry blossoms for spring, maple foliage for autumn, and more scenic in the large precincts.
Visitors can enjoy all the seasons beauty- above all, the weeping cherry blossoms are breathtaking.

Ohga-hasu(ancient lotus)

Ohga-hasu is planted at the species preservation bed in the botanical garden, with seeds dating back 2,000 years.

Juji-ike(pond)

This pond still supplies the water to rice fields and has a circumference of 4 km.
The pond had a sad story enshrined with it.
It has another name ”Ju- Ja- ike ”, meaning a snake lives in this pond.
This beautiful, quiet pond and the legend charms many visitors.
